Spotify Wrapped 2022: When it’s coming?

Spotify released its 2022 Wrapped recaps on Wednesday, the yearly digital journey that digs through your tastes in music for the year.

Wrapped this year includes new features such as your Myers-Briggs-style “listening” personality type and a tracker that monitors how your musical mood changes throughout the day. Wrapped, as usual, summarises your top artists, genres, songs, and podcasts, as well as overall minutes, listened on Spotify.

It is a popular feature on the streaming service and the centerpiece of a huge marketing campaign. Spotify is the world’s largest music streaming service by the number of users, so its annual data recap is one way to gauge global listening habits.

Wrapped recaps for this year include:

• Your Listening Personality: Users are classified into one of 16 music personalities, such as the Deep Diver, Replayer, Adventurer, or Fanclubber, based on how they listen.

• Audio Day: A step-by-step look at just how your music habits change during the day, with Spotify identifying your mood for the morning, day, and night. My morning mood is apparently “somber friendly,” whatever that is.

• Your Artist Messages: Following up on a feature introduced last year, Spotify is incorporating video cameos from the biggest artists into recaps. Last year, Spotify asked over 100 artists to record a thank-you notification for their fans. This year, over 40,000 people took part. If one or more of your top artists recorded a cameo, you might see one or more in your Wrapped feed.

Wrapped “creator” perceptions for artists and podcasters on Spotify are individualized microsites that delve into just how their fans listened to their music over the year.

This year, all of the ways of sharing your Wrapped on social networks have returned, as have new social cards to share on WhatsApp and Line. Snapchat also offers a personalized lens based on your Listening Personality.

How to watch your Wrapped recap?

Wrapped experiences are only available in the Spotify mobile app for Android and Apple iPhones and iPads. Just ensure you have the most recent version of the Spotify app, which is 8.7.78.

The app will include banners on the Home, Search, and Library tabs, in addition to a full “Your 2022 in Review” shelf on the Home tab. You can also search for “2022 Wrapped” in the Spotify app.

Once you’re on your Apple or Android device, simply visit this website, which will launch your Wrapped history in the app.

If you’re still unable to locate your Wrapped, it’s possible that you haven’t used Spotify enough just to generate enough data to create a personalized recap. To be eligible for Wrapped, users must stream at least about 30 tracks for a little more than 30 seconds and at least five artists between January 1 and early November.

behringer

Behringer – Uli Behringer’s Story Of Creating A Successful Musical Business.

Founded in 1989, Behringer is one of the most successful pro-audio companies in the world. The company’s founder is Uli Behringer, a Swiss engineer who hailed from a musical background. Behringer originally started its manufacturing unit in Willich, Germany and it has a worldwide network serving up to 130 countries. Currently, the musical products of this company are manufactured in China. Behringer’s parent company is Music Tribe, a holding company that the founder of Behringer chairs. The company has approximately 3,500 employees working from various parts of the world. Behringer is not only successful but one of the largest musical companies in the world and in 2017 it ranked 14th in terms of manufacturing capacity.

The Musical Journey Of Uli Behringer

Uli Behringer is originally from Switzerland where he was born in a little town in 1961. His father was a nuclear physicist and a church organist while his mother was into music and played piano. Behringer’s journey into the musical world started with his mother teaching him to play piano at the age of four. His family had a rich musical background and his aunt and uncle were also into music. After a year of learning piano, Behringer’s father built him a church organ with 1000 pipes and it was integrated into the family home. At the age of sixteen, he constructed a synthesizer.

Building A Musical Startup

As Behringer started growing up, he showed interest in music as well as electronics. So, in 1982 he moved to Dusseldorf, Germany to study classical piano and sound engineering. In the late 1980s, psychoacoustics became a very hyped topic in the audio world as manufacturers were looking for solutions for processing compromised audio. It was Uli Behringer who decided to lift up the curtain between an affordable solution and the audience who are in need of it. So, in 1989 the company’s story actually began as Behringer started implementing his ideas in reality. He wanted to offer the solutions at a price that his audience (independent musicians or other studios) can easily purchase. With Behringer, a new home-recording market started that the world didn’t witness before.

Manufacturing And Marketing

After Behringer was incorporated in 1989, the company started its production in Germany although some of the major components were shipped from mainland China. But it was only after a year that the company shifted its manufacturing process to China to reduce the entire production cost. As the company started manufacturing various musical equipment that was in demand, its main target was to produce the same at a lower price. So, in 1991, the company manufactured COMBINATOR MDX 8000 at a much lower price.

After a year, the company manufactured COMPOSER MDX2000 which was not only advantageous from a lower price point but also bridged the gap between pro audio and consumer electronics. In 1996, the company rolled out several products and among them, EURODESK MX8000 became a big hit. Before the decade ended, it released two more products, PRO-MIXER DX1000 and ULTRA-GRAPH PRO GEQ3102.

The New Era

Stepping into the new decade, the company acquired all the rights to CoolAudio technology from Intersil Corporation. It is a US-based that specialized in integrated circuits for audio applications. After the acquisition, the company also got licenses such as Alpine and Rowe. As the company was developing its manufacturing plants in China, in 2002, the construction was completed and named Behringer City. In 2010, the new logo of the company was born as it evolved much from the time it began. After a couple of years, the company also received the “Best in Show” award for “Companies to Watch.” As the company eventually went under the acquisition of MusicTribe, everything that the company launched is under the new brand name.

Beats Studio Buds

Beats Studio Buds launched with Active Noise Cancellation.

Beats Studio Buds, the latest true wireless earphone from Apple-owned audio brand Beats, has been released after much speculation and rumors. Pre-orders for the new TWS earphones have already begun in the United States and Canada. Beats Studio Buds are priced at $ 149.99 and come in three colors: white, red, and black. When compared to the brand’s first truly wireless earphones, the Powerbeats Pro TWS earphones, the Beats Studio Buds use a more traditional TWS design. They don’t have ear hooks or stems, so they’re light and comfortable.

Premium Sound Quality

Beats was created to deliver music exactly as the artist intended. Beats Studio Buds are designed to deliver powerful, balanced sound in a small package, thanks to a completely customized acoustic platform. A proprietary dual-element diaphragm driver is housed in a two-chamber housing, producing clear sound with excellent stereo separation. After that, an advanced digital processor optimizes audio performance for loudness and clarity while also ensuring clean noise cancellation. The result is immersive audio that transports the emotion of the music from the studio to your ears, keeping you going all day.

Control Modes in Beats Studio Bud

You have complete control over your sound with two distinct listening modes in Beats Studio Buds. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) continuously blocks unwanted outside noise with a finely tuned filter that adapts to your surroundings. Switch to Transparency mode at the touch of a button when you need to hear what’s going on around you. The external-facing microphones blend in the sounds of your surroundings with your music to create a more natural, “open” listening experience.

Battery Life

The earbuds have an 8-hour listening time and a pocket-sized charging case that provides two additional charges. That means the Beats Studio Buds have a combined playback time of up to 24 hours. With ANC or Transparency mode enabled, you can get up to 5 hours of listening time, or 15 when combined with the case. If you need a boost, a 5-minute Fast Fuel charge provides up to 1 hour of playback when the battery is low.

Compatibility: With Apple as well as Android

Beats Studio Buds have one-touch pairing for Apple and Android devices and connect quickly via Bluetooth. The Beats app for Android includes features such as built-in controls, device status (such as battery levels), and firmware updates. Those features are built into iOS without the need for an app on Apple devices, and you can also activate Siri hands-free by saying “Hey Siri.” Furthermore, the USB-C charge connector provides a unified charging solution for both Apple and Android platforms.

Long Range of Connectivity

Beats Studio Buds have a longer wireless range and fewer dropouts thanks to Class 1 Bluetooth technology. For high-quality call performance and enhanced voice clarity, dual-beam-forming microphones target your voice while filtering out wind and external noise. On-ear controls let you manage calls and listen to music. You can also configure the “Press and Hold” function to work with either ANC or your voice assistant.

Perfect Fit

Beats Studio Buds are sweat and water-resistant, making them suitable for non-water sports and exercise. Beats Studio Buds were tested in a controlled laboratory environment and received an IPX4 rating under IEC standard 60529. Sweat and water resistance are not permanent conditions, and resistance may diminish with normal wear.

Other Important Features and Precautions

Charge wet Beats Studio Buds at your own risk. Customizing the press and hold feature requires an iPhone running iOS 14.6 or later, or an Android device running the most recent version of the Beats app. iOS 14.6 or later is required for one-touch pairing. Fast Pair necessitates the use of a location. To use all features, you must have an Android 6.0 or newer device with Google Play Service enabled and a Google Account. Siri may not be available in all languages or regions, and features may vary by region. Access to the internet is required. There may be cellular data charges.

The Studio Buds are the first Beats product to support FindMy in iOS and Find My Device in Android. As a result, the lost earbuds can be found by using their last known location (when paired via Bluetooth) or by playing a sound when they are nearby.

Amazon Music HD

Amazon Launches Amazon Music HD a High-Fidelity Streaming Service

Home deliveries, grocery, cloud computing, and what not? Amazon is doing everything. In fact, it was the first company to sell music without digital rights management from the four major music labels. But what is next? Well, we have got the news. After Amazon Music, Amazon is now launching its new HD music streaming service, named Amazon Music HD. It is an affordable music streaming service which can make Amazon leave its rivals like Apple Music and Spotify way behind in the competition with its HD music offering.

Currently, Amazon’s music streaming service only offers MP3 quality songs. But with the new service, the company is focussed on providing the users with the high-quality CD-like audio and is the first to offer high-fidelity digital audio through the subscription. For that, the company has added 24-bit CD-quality music to its Amazon Music platform, offering “Ultra HD” music. The subscription for the Amazon Music HD starts at $12.99 a month for the Prime users, and for the other users, the plan starts at $14.99 a month.

There is an offer for the current Amazon Music subscribers, under which they can get a trial of 90 days for the new HD music with just paying an extra $5 a month.

According to Amazon, with the subscription, the users will get access to 50 million songs that it calls “High Definition” having a sample rate of 44.1kHz. There will also be around 1 to 10 million ultra HD songs included in the subscription plan, with sample rates between 44.1kHz and 192kHz and ten times the bitrate of standard tracks. Also unlike the Tidal music’s MQA file format, the file format for Amazon’s HD songs will be lossless FLAC.

“We’re thrilled to make it possible for our customers to stream their favourite music the way artists intended their fans to hear it. From rock to hip-hop to classical and pop, we believe listening to music at this level of sound will make customers fall in love again with their favourite music and artists. As we usher in a new listening experience for our customers, we’re combining the convenience of streaming with all of the emotion, power, clarity and nuance of the original recordings.” Steve Boom, vice president of Amazon Music, said in a statement.

But even having subscribed to Amazon Music HD, only the users with latest technology device get to enjoy the HD and Ultra HD music through it. These devices include the second-generation or later Amazon Echo speakers, Fire TVs and Fire TV devices, Apple devices released after 2014 and running iOS 11 or newer, the Android devices released after 2014 having Android Lollipop or newer.

Apple May Replace iTunes with New Music, TV and Podcast Apps

The Apple’s annual conference, WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference), to be held in San Jose, is about to start, and the company is all set to make the major announcements for this year. The main attraction for the event will be the latest iOS it is going to announce for the iPhones and the iPads. But as reported by Reddit, Apple might say goodbye to its eighteen years old music streaming service, iTunes.

MacRumors and some of the Redditors have noticed that the company has been removing stuff, i.e. pictures, posts, and videos, related to iTunes from its official Facebook and Instagram accounts. The company has even removed the iTunes Facebook and Instagram pages, giving an indication that Apple might be planning to discontinue the very service. In fact, the posts have been migrated to the Apple TV’s social media handles. But the company has still maintained iTunes Twitter account.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the company aspires to make a hold in the entertainment industry by introducing three separate apps for music, TV and podcasts, replacing iTunes. 9to5Mac, even, shared leaked screenshots of those three apps, displaying how these would look like.

The company has not commented on any of these reports, but we can expect the mention of iTunes in the keynote the Apple CEO Tim Cook will deliver at the conference.

iTunes is one of the revolutionary product from Apple released at the time when the internet had not even reached to every corner of the world. It was a single online place where people could purchase music legally. Even Napster had come two years earlier than iTunes, the latter went viral in no time. But since there has been the emergence of other better music stores and music streaming services, iTunes somewhere lagged behind, and now Apple has to think of new methods of entertainment it should provide to its consumers.

Also, like every year, the company is going to announce a new iOS at the conference, i.e. iOS 13. According to the reports, the new iOS will feature dark mode as well as a new health feature. Also, the new iOS will help turn the iPad as a computer-like device. The company is also up to upgrading its other apps, including Reminders and Books, and it may announce a newer iOS version for the Apple Watch, that it may launch by the end of 2019.

SoundCloud will now Assist Creators to Self-distribute Music Through its New Distribution Tool

SoundCloud, the online audio distribution platform and music sharing website, has announced that it is going to add a distribution tool to its self-monetization Premier program. That means, now the eligible users will be able to upload, monetize and publish their songs over all the major streaming services and web stores, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Beatport, Instagram and more, through SoundCloud.

Although other distribution platforms keep a slice from the profits earned through the uploaded content by the artists, SoundCloud has promised that the artists will be able to keep 100 per cent of the royalties, and also, all the rights over their content will be reserved by them only. Also, all the payouts earned through the various platforms will be sent to the artists directly through the app.

“Creators using the SoundCloud Premier distribution feature keep 100% of their rights, keep 100% of their distribution royalties from third-party services, and pay no distribution fees,” said SoundCloud in the announcement.

According to the announcement, all the ‘eligible’ SoundCloud Premier users will be able to access the new feature to upload their original content on the platform. According to the eligibility criteria, the creators must be 18 or above. Also, they must have at least 1,000 monetizable track plays, and all the tracks from the creator must be original, having no copyright strike on any of the content in the past.

The feature is still in beta, and soon, will be available to the SoundCloud Pro and SoundCloud Pro Unlimited users. Currently, the subscription fee for Pro users is $6, and for Pro Unlimited it is $12. With the addition of the distribution feature, the fee may be increased to an extent, as with no claim over the royalty and the copyrights, SoundCloud still have to make some money. According to the announcement, the ones with the eligible account will be informed through an email in the coming few weeks.

According to the CEO of SoundCloud, Kerry Trainor, the addition of the new feature will help the SoundCloud become more user-friendly and will be a great step in the evolution of the music industry. SoundCloud has already supported many of the artists in their success, and those artists, including Juice WRLD, are often heard giving the credits of their success to the app.
