About Mallika Bajaj

Mallika Bajaj had a very keen interest in media from a very young age. She also appeared on many news channels when she was a teenager. Mallika completed her bachelor’s degree from the University of Melbourne. She majored in media and communications and completed her master’s from Goldsmiths College under the University of London.

She started gaining fame from an early age. When she was sixteen, she hosted the BNP Davis Cup Tennis Tournament across Asia. She became the youngest host around the world after this and this was her first big achievement. She hostel this tournament till 2014.

While she was pursuing her bachelor’s degree she became the editor on BBC. She used to look after the current affairs and world news. In 2009, Mallika joined INX Media Pvt. Ltd and worked as the sports editor for a year. Before pursuing her master’s she worked at ABC News for some time. In November 2007, Mallika becomes the entertainment editor at Hindustan Times. She worked here for twelve long years. Currently, she is also serving as the chief marketing officer at Maxilion.

The beginning

During this time, Mallika Bajaj decided to open a new start-up. The potential Indian market for digital content gave her the zeal to built something for our country. Thus, in 2014, she founded Little Young Beetle to provide kinder content in many fields and also to help improve India’s position in this digital era.

Education and Career

He attended K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering for a bachelor’s degree in Electronics engineering. After that, he completed an MBA from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. However, Dharmil began his entrepreneurial journey with 91streets. Previously, he worked with many popular brands. Currently, Dharmil handles key areas of customer experience at PharmEasy. Also, the operations and marketing divisions of the company are under his control.

Apart from PharmEasy, he started Ekagrata, 91Streets. While creating up any platform and start-up, he aimed to make things better for the community. Presently, he is one of the directors of Hobspace, an ed-tech start-up.

In 2010, it is started with a vision of making a country free from poverty, corruption as well as social inequalities. So, Dharmil created a platform called Ekagrata to support quality education to ensure all-rounded development. Especially, among the underprivileged kids.

91streets

Just after his graduation, Dharmil set up a marketing platform for all types of retailers in 2014. Understanding the need for modern retailers, he started 91streets which turn out as an excellent shopping companion for modern retailers.

The backstory of PharmEasy foundation

The inspiration behind the PharmaEasy foundation was to provide easily accessible healthcare services. Also, at the same time, these services should be affordable and available to all. He noticed many start-ups provide different healthcare services in wide ranges. But there was no such platform that provides home delivery of medicines to the needy patients. 

In the end, Dharmil Sheth and his doctor friend Dhawal Shah came up with the idea to build an e-pharmacy start-up. That’s how they set up PharmEasy back in 2015 to deliver medicines online. Today, the company delivers about 98 percent of the PIN codes across India.

Current achievements of PharmEasy

Today, PharmEasy is one of the largest platforms that deliver medicines. The company has warehouses in many cities. So, consumers can expect to get their medicines delivered on the same day itself. In fact, PharmEasy administrations are available more than 700 cities and deliver a wide range of medications. It’s available in non-prescription as well as the prescription category. Also, it offers a platform to book diagnostic tests. Over the period, the company has raised a total of 328.5 million dollars.

Early Life

Carlos has a very interesting family history. He belongs to a family of rich businessmen and traders. Carlos’s grandfather was Bichara Ghosn, who became very famous in the entrepreneurial world. Carlos’s father was also a famous diamond trader who was convicted of murdering a priest.

Born on 9th March 1954, Carlos moved to different places during his childhood. He was born in Porto Velho but at the age of two, he and his mother moved to Rio de Janeiro as he became very sick. Again at the age of six years old, he moved to Lebanon.

Carlos completed his schooling from Lebanon and then he went to Paris for higher education. In 1974, he graduated from Ecole Polytechnique with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He also went to Mines Paris Tech and graduated in the year 1978.

Early Career

Carlos’s career started with Michelin, a French tire manufacturing company. It is Europe’s largest tire manufacturing company and he worked there for eighteen years. He joined the company in 1978 and in 1984 he became the head of research and development for the company’s industrial tire division. In 1985, Carlos became the Chief Operating Officer for the South American market of Michelin.

Carlos has a very rich multicultural experience and that is why he fled to Rio and helped out Michelin regarding cross-functional management. He led the team with his unique management style and after a couple of years, the division again started making profits. In 1989, Carlos became the COO and President of Michelin North America. He became CEO of the same in the next year.

With Renault and Nissan

In 1996, Carlos became the President in charge of the marketing department and also the manufacturing sector. He had a major contribution to Renault as he was in charge of the South American division as well. He decided to restructure the entire company and in 1997 the company made a huge profit.

In 1999, after the joint partnership of Renault and Nissan, Carlos became the COO of Nissan. He became President of the company in 2000 and became the CEO of the company in 2001. During the year 1999, Nissan was drowning in debt and only three out of forty-six of its models were making profits. Carlos decided to turn the fate of this company and drawn some clear strategies for bringing the company on track.

Carlos also said that if he didn’t achieve the goal by 2001, he will resign from the company. After he started implemented Nissan’s Revival Plan, the company made a profit of $2.7 billion. Carlos successfully reached the goals for the company.

Carlos was named one of the most powerful people in business out of Europe by Fortune. In May 2005, Carlos became the President and CEO of Renault. Carlos became the first person in the entire world to run two famous companies listed on Fortune Global 500. He became one of the prominent figures in the Japanese business world and also outside. In April 2017, he stepped down from the position of Nissan’s CEO.

The allegations

Carlos was accused of misusing the company’s assets and thus Japan’s federal system arrested him. In November 2018, he was arrested at Haneda Airport. Nissan accused him of extorting money from the company for buying his yacht, houses, etc. But, he denies all of it. Carlos also said the justice system of Japan treated him like a terrorist and stood in front of more than a hundred journalists and admitted he is innocent.

But, on 2nd January 2020, Interpol sent a red notice to Lebanon for the arrest of Carlos. He was also in house arrest for a long span in Tokyo.

As a gamer, they were always searching for such games on mobile phones. In fact, they find several such games. But these games were just a lame copy that wasn’t working on smartphones at all. Being a programmer, they found, it is failed due to the wrong design combination and other technical factors. 

Yet, Peter and Deyan both were knowing that mobiles are capable to do so. Thus, they established Chobolabs to bring such gaming experience on mobile phones. 

Deyan Vitanov- Co-Founder and CEO

Deyan Vitanov is a programmer and entrepreneur, who Co-Founded several start-ups. Includes, Philanthropedia CPP-Home, and Chobolabs. Presently, he is the CEO of a mobile esports company called Chobolabs. 

Early Life

Deyan was born and brought up in Bourgas, Bulgaria. At the age of 9, his father brought a computer for him. Since then he falls in love with programming. Soon, he learned several programming languages proficiently. Like, Pascal, C, C++, etc. Also, he won several national-level programming competitions.

During his high school, Deyan co-founded his first internet company, CPP-Home in 2001. It was the C++ learning hub. 

Education and career

He attended Jacobs University Bremen for his bachelor’s degree in integrated social science. That time, he won the German Academic Exchange service award for his excellent performance in college. After that, he completed an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In 2008, he co-founded Philanthropedia, which is acquired by GuideStar in 2011.

Peter Dobrev- Co-founder of Chobolabs

In 2012, Peter Dobrev successfully co-founded Chobolabs with Deyan Vitanov. Also, he served proudly as a founding engineer at Philanthropedia. Apart from that, he is the most versatile and skilled ethical hacker. 

He went to Jacobs University, Bremen for his graduation as well as a master’s degree in computer science. During his master’s program, he worked as a research assistant on point-based graphics and multi-variate visualization. Also, he was an intern at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. Where he assisted in the research and development of an algorithm to estimate height fields from normal maps. 

Presently, he is working on Chobolabs.

Koo In-Hwoi Who Set The Foundation of LG Electronics Which Is Ruling The Electronics Industry

LG is a well-known electronics and telecom company all over the world. Presently, the LG company has acquired a huge electronics market. Also, it holds several subsidiaries like LG display, Zenith, LG Chem. LG Electronics is the most successful segment among it. In fact, the company has many production units in more than 80 countries worldwide.

The backstory of LG foundation

South Korean businessman and entrepreneur Koo in-Hwoi founded LG 73 years back on5 January 1947. However, the story behind the formation of the LG group is interesting to know. The idea born when relative Huh Man-Jung visited him. The son of relative was just returned after studying in Japan and wanted to learn business tactics. So, Huh asked Koo in-Hwoi to invest in his business and offer a partnership. That’s how two families became partners for decades. In 1947, they set up a Lak Hui Chemical Industrial Corporation. Earlier, it rises as a cosmetics manufacturing business. The company enters the market with a face cream called Lucky. Shortly, this cosmetic product boomed the market because of its rich ingredients. But unfortunately, its sale lowers down because of lid discovery in the cream.

Eventually, after successfully setting several businesses, he founded Goldstar in 1958; it is presently known as LG Electronics.

Formation of LG- Top south Korean company

Initially, he started a plastic plan in Busan. It was a manufacturing unit of a plastic hairbrush. That time, it became a huge hit in the Korean market. After that, the company started manufacturing toothbrushes and washbowls. In 1958, Koo In-Hwoi expanded the production unit of Goldstar. The company manufactured the first homemade radio in Korea. Besides, the company started the production unit of electronics equipment like phones, fans, AC, TV, and refrigerators.

On the other hand, Koo In-Hwoi started the production of soap, toothpaste, as well as synthetic detergent. But it was trading under the name Lucky. It got famous for its products. He was born on 27 August 1906 at the Korean Empire. In 1924, he completed secondary education at Seoul’s Central Normal Higher School. However, he started the business just after his secondary education. After returning to their hometown, he served as the head of the business corporative union of his village in 1926. Next year, he joined the Dong-A Ilbo newspaper, where he served as the head.

In 1963, he was born at Rajasthan in Hanumargarh. Bhanwarlal, a father of Narendra was a businessman. Apparently, he learned some business skills from his father. However, his mother was a homemaker. He completed primary education at his native place. But after a few years, Bansal family moved to Nepal. So, he attended Vishwaniketan High school for secondary education. In the year 1980, the Bansal family returned to Delhi. Thus, he attended Swami Shraddhanand College for graduation in Commerce.

From the beginning, he wanted to start a business. But without any help from his father. So, during his college days, he started working on his business ideas. He has the ability to know what the market wants. In the 1980s, audio-video cassettes were the center of attraction. There was a huge demand for it. Being a keen market analyst, Narendra grabs this opportunity to start his business. That time, he started re-selling audio-video cassettes in the local retail markets of Delhi. Especially at Chandni Chowk, Palika Bazar, and South Extension. As the market changed, he started selling VCRs till 1987.

Narendra was a technology-oriented person. In 1987, floppy disks arrived in the market. Also, it was the start of a new era of technology. So, he expanded his business of trading and distribution with selling floppy disks. Later, he added hard drives and RAMs in his local retail selling.

International Impex

In 1994, Narendra started the company International Impex investing just 20,000 rupees. At starting, the Delhi based company offered the service in the import of basic electronic accessories. For example, ethernet cards, floppy disks, RAM, etc. After a few years, International Impex started assembling and selling of these accessories. Because Narendra was aware of the beginning of the computer era. Also, he builds contacts in Korean and Taiwan’s market which helped him to flourish the business further.

In fact, the company’s turnover crosses 3 million in a year. As per his basic skill to grow business step by step, he added other durable products to his business. Includes, DVD player, Multimedia speakers, etc.

Establishment of Intex Technologies

Narendra had the potential to run any business successfully. At the end of the 20th century, mobile phones and other IT accessories were gaining importance in the market. So, he bagged the golden chance and set up an Intex technology in 1996. The company started a manufacturing unit of IT accessories and consumer durables. In just one year, Intex achieved great success with the Intex Home Theater System. After that, the company has never looked back. Presently, the company is the second-largest smartphone manufacturing firm in India.

In 2012, Cell IT Magazine honor Narendra Bansal with the Lifetime Achievement award. He was awarded for his contribution to the IT industry’s growth in India. Also, in 2016, he named many awards from several institutes for his contribution to the IT sector. Includes, Udyog Rattan Award, Distinguished Entrepreneurship Award, and Empresario Most Inspiring Entrepreneur award. In addition, he honored with Outstanding Contribution to Mobile Industry by CEAMA. In 2016, Exhibit Tech Awards honored him as a Johnnie Walker Best Entrepreneur of the Year.
