Battlegrounds Mobile India

First Impressions of Battlegrounds Mobile India: PUBG Mobile Similarities and Differences (Early Access)

Battlegrounds Mobile India Early Access launched on Thursday, with the Battlegrounds Mobile India game available in beta through Google Play. We were able to obtain it and play a full match. It’s clear that Battlegrounds Mobile India is essentially PUBG Mobile with a few minor tweaks, which we’ll go over shortly. We don’t know how long the open beta will last or when it will be released, as it was made available just ahead of the previously scheduled June 18 release date. Here is the initial thoughts on the Battlegrounds Mobile India Early Access build.

If you’re a fan of PUBG Mobile, you’ll feel right at home when you launch Battlegrounds Mobile India on your Android device. You are greeted with the same home screen and background music as in PUBG Mobile after logging in or creating an account with your previous PUBG Mobile credentials. The best part is that you can import your in-game data from PUBG Mobile. We will soon publish the how-to. Interestingly, there were prompts asking if the player was over the age of 18 and if they were in India, and unfortunately, it appears that you can do this as simply as ‘yes’ without needing any verification.

We immediately entered Erangel with the Traverse – Insectoid theme from Season 19 and heard the safe gaming narration stating that this is a simulation, that it does not represent real life, and that we should not spend long hours playing. This appears to happen every time you start a match of Battlegrounds Mobile India. Unsurprisingly, the match was filled with bots, with not a single real player to be found. It was like reliving the early days of PUBG Mobile.

The Erangel map in Battlegrounds Mobile India is the same as the one in PUBG Mobile, and you can pick up familiar weapons and equipment with the same customizable controls. The game, which is only available in India, has the advantage of being a quick and smooth experience with no lags, frame drops, or ping issues. However, the experience may differ slightly when actual players on the same server are present.

Battlegrounds Mobile India retains the same maps, weapons, game mechanics, and overall appeal as PUBG Mobile, but is repackaged for Indian users. It does, however, make a few minor changes. The game’s blood is now green rather than red. At the top left, where the number of players who are “Alive” and the number of players you “killed” is displayed, “Alive” and “Finished” are now displayed. Another precaution in the name of safety? Battlegrounds Mobile India does not allow you to select a server because the option has been disabled. It is unknown whether or not this option will be available in the future.

As previously stated, Krafton opened beta testing for Battlegrounds Mobile India for a limited number of users on Thursday, and we were able to gain access to the game.

Battlegrounds Mobile India required 6.06GB of storage on the device we tested it on (OnePlus 7 Pro) and is currently at version 1.4.0. It needs permission to access the phone’s storage, and no other permissions were requested. If you use in-game chat, you will be asked to grant microphone access. Krafton has not yet announced a release date for the game, and it is unclear how long it will be in open beta.

Xbox

Xbox June Update Brings Party Chat Features And XCloud Gaming Forward; along with many other features.

Microsoft announced the new features included in the latest Xbox update in a blog post on the Xbox website. The Xbox June update is now available, and it improves Party Chat by introducing speech-to-text and text-to-speech features. Along with these enhancements, the update changes the Xbox app, which now displays official posts from games, allows you to reorder groups in the Guide, and makes it easier to review and approve family member requests to play with users on different platforms. In the future, Xbox One users will be able to play next-generation games via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Xbox Party Chat

Gaming should be welcoming, approachable, and accessible to all. This includes making it simple for gamers to play and communicate with one another. Party chat, which is used by gamers all over the world to communicate with their friends while playing, now supports speech-to-text and text-to-speech conversion. Each of these features can be used to assist gamers who are deaf or hard of hearing and/or who are unable or unwilling to speak.

  • Speech-to-Text Transcription: By enabling speech-to-text transcription, gamers can have all words spoken by members of a party converted into text that appears in an adjustable overlay on top of gameplay.
  • Text-to-Speech Synthesis: By enabling text-to-speech synthesis, gamers can type into party text chat and have it read aloud to the rest of the party by a synthetic voice (with a choice of several voices per language).

Speech-to-text and text-to-speech functionality can both be enabled in Settings > Ease of Access > Game and chat transcription. When you’re at a party, you can also get to this screen by going to Options > Configure Ease of Access settings.

The Xbox Mobile App

The Xbox app for Android and iOS keeps you in touch with the rest of your gaming community. Gamers can use the app to easily share game clips and screenshots, chat with friends, track their achievements, and even play games from their console via remote play. Throughout this month, you will begin to see official posts from your favorite games. You can view the posts from the app’s homepage and like, share, or comment on them.

Reorder Groups in the Guide

Groups allow you to make lists in the guide for easy access to your favorite games and apps. There is now a new “Move groups” button built right into the guide’s “My games & apps” screen, allowing you to rearrange the order of your groups. To use it, open the guide, then select My games & apps, then Move groups to rearrange your groups.

Family’s Cross-Network Play Requests

The Xbox family settings allow you to control how people interact with your family’s gaming. We will continue to innovate family settings on Xbox in order to be as unique as families are today and to meet their needs. To that end, we’ve made it easier for you to review and approve your children’s requests to play with people on other game platforms and Windows PCs on your console. Children who use Xbox child accounts as part of a family group can now request permission from their parent or caregiver to play games like Minecraft with others who use other gaming services. Parents can approve or decline their children’s requests by using the Xbox Family Settings app for Android or iOS, or by using the console itself.

Xbox Cloud Gaming

In a separate post detailing the E3 exclusive game lineup, Microsoft revealed that in the future, Xbox One users will be able to play next-gen console games like Microsoft Flight Simulator, Redfall, Starfield, and others via Xbox Cloud Gaming (formerly called xCloud). These games are currently available only on the Xbox Series X/Series S and PC.

This is fantastic news for owners of previous-generation Xbox consoles because, while some upcoming games will not officially launch with Xbox One support, they will still be able to play them via cloud gaming. It makes sense because older generation consoles lack the power to run the new upcoming games as intended, but with Xbox Cloud Gaming, they won’t need the extra graphics and processing power, just a stable internet connection. Microsoft has stated that more information will be released soon.

Beats Studio Buds

Beats Studio Buds launched with Active Noise Cancellation.

Beats Studio Buds, the latest true wireless earphone from Apple-owned audio brand Beats, has been released after much speculation and rumors. Pre-orders for the new TWS earphones have already begun in the United States and Canada. Beats Studio Buds are priced at $ 149.99 and come in three colors: white, red, and black. When compared to the brand’s first truly wireless earphones, the Powerbeats Pro TWS earphones, the Beats Studio Buds use a more traditional TWS design. They don’t have ear hooks or stems, so they’re light and comfortable.

Premium Sound Quality

Beats was created to deliver music exactly as the artist intended. Beats Studio Buds are designed to deliver powerful, balanced sound in a small package, thanks to a completely customized acoustic platform. A proprietary dual-element diaphragm driver is housed in a two-chamber housing, producing clear sound with excellent stereo separation. After that, an advanced digital processor optimizes audio performance for loudness and clarity while also ensuring clean noise cancellation. The result is immersive audio that transports the emotion of the music from the studio to your ears, keeping you going all day.

Control Modes in Beats Studio Bud

You have complete control over your sound with two distinct listening modes in Beats Studio Buds. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) continuously blocks unwanted outside noise with a finely tuned filter that adapts to your surroundings. Switch to Transparency mode at the touch of a button when you need to hear what’s going on around you. The external-facing microphones blend in the sounds of your surroundings with your music to create a more natural, “open” listening experience.

Battery Life

The earbuds have an 8-hour listening time and a pocket-sized charging case that provides two additional charges. That means the Beats Studio Buds have a combined playback time of up to 24 hours. With ANC or Transparency mode enabled, you can get up to 5 hours of listening time, or 15 when combined with the case. If you need a boost, a 5-minute Fast Fuel charge provides up to 1 hour of playback when the battery is low.

Compatibility: With Apple as well as Android

Beats Studio Buds have one-touch pairing for Apple and Android devices and connect quickly via Bluetooth. The Beats app for Android includes features such as built-in controls, device status (such as battery levels), and firmware updates. Those features are built into iOS without the need for an app on Apple devices, and you can also activate Siri hands-free by saying “Hey Siri.” Furthermore, the USB-C charge connector provides a unified charging solution for both Apple and Android platforms.

Long Range of Connectivity

Beats Studio Buds have a longer wireless range and fewer dropouts thanks to Class 1 Bluetooth technology. For high-quality call performance and enhanced voice clarity, dual-beam-forming microphones target your voice while filtering out wind and external noise. On-ear controls let you manage calls and listen to music. You can also configure the “Press and Hold” function to work with either ANC or your voice assistant.

Perfect Fit

Beats Studio Buds are sweat and water-resistant, making them suitable for non-water sports and exercise. Beats Studio Buds were tested in a controlled laboratory environment and received an IPX4 rating under IEC standard 60529. Sweat and water resistance are not permanent conditions, and resistance may diminish with normal wear.

Other Important Features and Precautions

Charge wet Beats Studio Buds at your own risk. Customizing the press and hold feature requires an iPhone running iOS 14.6 or later, or an Android device running the most recent version of the Beats app. iOS 14.6 or later is required for one-touch pairing. Fast Pair necessitates the use of a location. To use all features, you must have an Android 6.0 or newer device with Google Play Service enabled and a Google Account. Siri may not be available in all languages or regions, and features may vary by region. Access to the internet is required. There may be cellular data charges.

The Studio Buds are the first Beats product to support FindMy in iOS and Find My Device in Android. As a result, the lost earbuds can be found by using their last known location (when paired via Bluetooth) or by playing a sound when they are nearby.

Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office Gets Patched for 4 Vulnerabilities That Could Impact User Security: Check Point Research

Microsoft Corporation is a Redmond, Washington-based multinational technology company. It creates, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells computer software, consumer electronics, and personal computers, as well as related services. The Microsoft Windows line of operating systems, the Microsoft Office suite, and the Internet Explorer and Edge web browsers are among its most well-known software products. The Xbox video game consoles and the Microsoft Surface lineup of touchscreen personal computers are its flagship hardware products. Microsoft was ranked No. 21 in the 2020 Fortune 500 list of the largest corporations in the United States based on total revenue.

Microsoft Office, also known as simply Office, is a collection of client software, server software, and services created by Microsoft. Bill Gates first announced it on August 1, 1988, at COMDEX in Las Vegas. The first version of Office was a marketing term for an office suite (a bundled set of productivity applications), and it included Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Office applications have grown significantly closer over time, with shared features such as a common spell checker, OLE data integration, and the Visual Basic for Applications scripting language.

The Vulnerabilities Found

Microsoft has fixed up to four vulnerabilities in its Office suite, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Office Web, according to Check Point Research on Tuesday. These flaws could allow an attacker to infect users via malicious Office documents. The security flaws were discovered by the cybersecurity firm in February using an automated software approach known as “fuzzing,” and they were reported to Microsoft. While three of the vulnerabilities were patched earlier this month, the organization was able to patch the final one earlier on Tuesday. It is advised that users upgrade the Microsoft Office suite on their desktops and laptops.

Check Point Research revealed there were flaws with the MSGraph portion, encompassing Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, which is part of Microsoft Office products. The code that the researchers investigated and discovered to be vulnerable existed from at least the Office 2003 release in August 2003.

“To our knowledge, this component has not received too much attention from the security community until now, making it a fertile ground for bugs,” Check Point Research mentioned in a blog post.

Source: research.checkpoint.com

The researchers used the “fuzzing” method to use automated software to exploit the vulnerability. Using the method, the majority of Microsoft Office products were found to be vulnerable to malicious code attacks. This can be sent to the user by means of an Excel spreadsheet or a .xls-format specially crafted Word document in a.docx format, Outlook E-mail.

“We learned that the vulnerabilities are due to parsing mistakes made in legacy code,” Check Point Software’s Head of Cyber Research, Yaniv Balmas, said in a prepared statement. One of the primary learnings from our research is that legacy code continues to be a weak link in the security chain, especially in complex software like Microsoft Office.”

The researchers pointed out that there could be multiple attack vectors, with the most basic being when a victim downloads a malicious.xls file. Check Point Research stated that the four vulnerabilities were disclosed to Microsoft on February 28. Three of these, CVE-2021-31174, CVE-2021-31178, and CVE-2021-31179, were patched by the software giant on May 11, while the fourth, CVE-2021-31939, was fixed on Tuesday.

Check Point Research researchers believe that, while Microsoft has fixed the four vulnerabilities, there may be others that affect users. It is therefore advised to install the most recent Microsoft Office suite. Users of Windows 10 can install the update by going to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update.
